Local Commerce Research
During my internship at Groupon, I worked with the Consumer Design Researchers with their effort to gain a better understanding of how people shop locally and how they view local commerce.
This project included analyzing online diaries collected from a variety of consumers that documented their shopping habits over the course of a week, in-home interviews, data analysis, and creating consumer personas in order to communicate theses findings with the design team and propose design solutions for the problems and opportunities we found..
The personas included each individuals life stage, finances, spending, main shopping characteristics, and the shopping radius within which they completed most of their purchases. For the persona templates, I was charged with creating the shopping radius maps for the different personas we crafted through our analysis.
